• Thirty minutes from the Palisades Reservoir. Located southeast of Swan Valley in eastern Idaho, Palisades is a high-altitude reservoir and part of the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. Surrounded by steep forested mountains, the 16,000-acre reservoir is an excellent spot for boating, camping, and wildlife viewing. Fishing may be better in fall and winter for cutthroat and brown trout, kokanee and mackinaw. Boat ramps and camp sites are available.
• Less than ten minutes from the banks of the Snake River for world-class fly-fishing, boating, and waterskiing. Destination points include Heise Hot Springs, South Fork Lodge, and year-round fishing on the Ririe Reservoir.
• Fifteen minutes to skiing and snowboarding at Kelly Canyon Ski Resort.
• Seventy-five minutes to Grand Targhee Resort with skiing and snowboarding. More than 500 inches-a-year fall on the backside of the Tetons, offering a winter paradise of open-air adventure.
• Ninety minutes from Teton National Park and Jackson Hole, Wyoming with commercial airline service and world-renown ski resorts. Summer adventure includes whitewater rafting, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and golf.
